Mary Pickford Cookies

These make excellent holiday cookies by cutting into shapes, then frosting with red or green sugar crystals.

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves

Mix above ingredients. Roll on flat surface. Cut into desired shapes. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes or until browned. Frost with sugar crystals.

Yields 5 dozen.
